Decor DNA
Privacy Policy
Decor DNA is an app from Byzantine Glam, LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the Decor DNA app and decordna.ai collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and specific to what the app actually does.
1. Information we collect
Your account
Your email address, and your name if you choose to share it when you sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Sign in with Apple and hide your email, we receive Apple's private relay address instead.
Your room photos and designs
The photos you upload for a makeover, the redesigned images we create from them, your style choices, notes you type (such as "keep my blue sofa"), and the paint palettes and shopping lists generated for each design.
Your quiz result
Your Decor DNA (your main design style and blend), if you are signed in. The quiz itself runs on your device; your swipes are not sent to us.
Your subscription status
Whether you subscribe to Decor DNA Pro, which plan, and when it renews or ends, so we can give you the right number of room makeovers. Payments are handled entirely by Apple: we never see or store your card or payment details.
Basic technical information
Our servers keep short-lived logs (such as the time of a request and whether it succeeded) to keep the service running and secure.
App activity for our ads
When we advertise Decor DNA on Facebook and Instagram, the app tells Meta about a few moments in the app: that it was installed and opened, that someone finished the style quiz, created an account, started a subscription purchase, or subscribed. These events carry no name, email address or photos. The app never asks for permission to track you, so Meta receives them without your device's advertising identifier and uses Apple's privacy-preserving ad measurement.
We do not collect your location, contacts or photo library beyond the specific photos you choose to upload, and the app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. How we use it
- To create your room makeovers, palettes and shopping lists, and keep them in My Rooms.
- To save your quiz result to your account.
- To manage your plan and your monthly room allowance.
- To answer your messages and keep the service working and secure.
- To send you two emails at most: a welcome email when you create your account, and a thank-you email when you subscribe to Decor DNA Pro. Each has an unsubscribe link, and we never sell or share your email address.
- To measure whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram bring people to the app.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your photos to advertise.
3. Services that process your information
We use a small number of providers to run Decor DNA. Each receives only what it needs:
- Google (Gemini API) receives the room photo you submit and your design instructions, and returns the redesigned image and its palette and shopping list. We use Google's paid API; under its terms, Google does not use this content to train its models.
- Supabase stores your account, photos, designs and quiz result.
- Vercel runs the servers that connect the app to these services.
- Apple and RevenueCat handle subscriptions. RevenueCat tells us whether your subscription is active; it does not share payment details with us.
- Apple and Google sign-in, if you choose them, confirm who you are.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram) receives the app events described above, and the website visits described under "The website" below, so we can measure our ads. Meta's own privacy policy applies to that data.
- Hostinger hosts decordna.ai and our email.
Shopping lists link to other stores' websites (for example Amazon, Wayfair or Pottery Barn). When you open one, that store's own privacy policy applies. We may earn a commission from some of these links; it doesn't change what you pay.
The app and decordna.ai also link to the book InDeZo: The New Language of Interior Design on Amazon. As an Amazon Associate, Decor DNA earns from qualifying purchases. Amazon may use cookies to credit the purchase to us; Amazon's own privacy notice applies there.
The website
This section covers the website decordna.ai only, not the app. The website loads its fonts from our own server and uses no analytics. If you send us a message through the contact form, we use your name, email address and message only to reply to you.
- Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel). decordna.ai uses the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show our ads to people who have visited. It records the pages you visit and whether you sent a contact message, together with browser and device information and Meta cookies. We never send Meta your name, email address, phone number, message or photos. Meta's use of this data is described in Meta's Privacy Policy.
- Advertising choices. You can turn off ad personalization in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences, or block cookies in your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the Meta Pixel does not load at all.
- California residents. Using the Meta Pixel for advertising counts as "sharing" personal information under California law. We do not sell your information. To opt out of sharing, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, or use our contact form (choose "Privacy or data request").
4. Storage and security
Your photos and designs are stored in private storage that only your signed-in account can reach, through temporary links that expire. Connections are encrypted. Our providers are based in the United States, so your information is processed there.
5. How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your account, photos and designs until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Account → Delete my account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, your room photos, your designs and your quiz result, and disconnects Sign in with Apple if you used it. Copies in routine backups are removed as those backups expire, within 30 days.
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
6. Your choices and rights
You can see your designs in the app, and you can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it through our contact form (choose "Privacy or data request"). Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Union), you may have additional rights, and we will honor them.
7. Children
Decor DNA is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app.
